The Volunteer Blankenberg Marine Rescue Service (VBZR) is a government-recognized Search and Rescue (SAR) organisation formed in 1983. It is manned entirely by volunteers. Its area of responsibility normally covers the Belgian coast from Ostend to the Dutch border but it will help anyone out of this area if required .
